WebFones, LLC (“WebFones,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects the privacy of our customers and users. This Privacy Policy explains how WebFones collects, uses, protects, and discloses information in connection with WebFones products and services, including WebFones Voice, WebFones Mail, and related services.
WebFones may collect customer-identifiable information necessary to provide and support our services. This may include account information, contact information, billing information, service configuration information, and information generated through the use of WebFones services.
We use this information to provide, configure, maintain, secure, and support WebFones services; process billing and payments; communicate with customers regarding their accounts; and provide information about WebFones products and services.
WebFones does not sell customer-identifiable information or provide customer-identifiable information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
WebFones Mail allows users to connect Gmail accounts using Google's OAuth authorization system and the standard IMAP and SMTP email protocols.
WebFones Mail accesses Google user data only after the user expressly authorizes WebFones Mail to access the applicable Google account.
Depending on the actions performed by the user, WebFones Mail may access email messages, message headers, attachments, folders, labels, and other mailbox information necessary to provide normal email-client functionality.
Google user data is used solely to provide user-facing email functions, including displaying, composing, sending, replying to, forwarding, organizing, searching, and managing email.
Gmail remains the authoritative source for the user's mailbox. WebFones does not maintain a separate server-side copy of a user's Gmail mailbox.
Email information may be temporarily stored or cached on the computer or device running WebFones Mail as necessary to display and manage email for the user. This temporary data exists only to provide the requested email functionality and does not replace the copy maintained by the user's email provider.
WebFones does not sell Google user data, use Google user data for advertising, or provide Google user data to third parties for their own purposes.
WebFones' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
WebFones AI does not automatically process or analyze the contents of a user's Gmail mailbox.
Email content is provided to WebFones AI only when the user explicitly invokes an AI-assisted feature, such as requesting assistance composing, rewriting, improving, or responding to an email.
WebFones AI is not used to scan Gmail mailboxes for spam and is not used for automatic spam filtering.
Email content submitted to an AI-assisted feature is used solely to perform the action requested by the user.
Google user data is not transferred to third-party AI providers.
WebFones Mail does not use artificial intelligence to automatically classify Gmail messages as spam.
Users control spam management within WebFones Mail by identifying specific senders or messages they consider unwanted. WebFones Mail uses those user-directed preferences to help manage unwanted email.
Gmail messages remain stored on Google's mail servers as the authoritative copy.
WebFones Mail may temporarily store or cache email information on the user's computer or device as necessary to display messages and provide normal email-client functionality.
When a user disconnects a Gmail account from WebFones Mail, locally maintained Gmail account data associated with that connection is erased and OAuth credentials and tokens associated with that account are removed.
Users may also request deletion of applicable data associated with their WebFones account at any time.
Email attachments remain part of the user's mailbox and are not automatically downloaded by WebFones Mail.
An attachment is downloaded to the user's device only when the user requests or initiates the download.
WebFones Mail otherwise treats attachment information as part of the email message for purposes of displaying and managing the user's mailbox.
WebFones Mail uses Google OAuth to authorize access to Gmail accounts. Users do not provide their Google password to WebFones Mail.
Users may disconnect their Google account from WebFones Mail at any time. When an account is disconnected, WebFones Mail removes the associated OAuth credentials and locally maintained account data.
Users may also revoke WebFones Mail's authorization directly through their Google Account security and permissions settings.
Revoking authorization prevents WebFones Mail from obtaining additional Gmail information unless the user subsequently authorizes access again.
WebFones does not provide Gmail message content or other Google user data to third parties.
Google user data is not sold, licensed, provided to advertisers, provided to data brokers, or used for unrelated marketing purposes.
WebFones may disclose information only when required by applicable law or valid legal process, or when necessary to protect the security and integrity of WebFones services and users.
WebFones does not read, listen to, or disclose private emails, telephone conversations, messages, or other communications transmitted using WebFones services except:
WebFones uses administrative, technical, and operational safeguards designed to protect customer information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
WebFones continually evaluates its security practices and may implement additional safeguards as technologies and security practices evolve.
No Internet-based system can guarantee absolute security, but WebFones takes reasonable measures designed to protect information entrusted to our services.
Customers may contact WebFones to request access to, correction of, or deletion of applicable account information.
Users of WebFones Mail may disconnect an email account at any time. Disconnecting a Gmail account removes the associated OAuth authorization information and locally maintained Gmail account data from WebFones Mail.
Customers who provide a mobile telephone number may receive text messages from WebFones, including service notifications, voicemail notifications, account-related communications, and communications from WebFones representatives.
Message and data rates may apply.
Users may opt out of applicable SMS communications by replying STOP or by contacting WebFones Support.
WebFones may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our products, services, technologies, or legal obligations change.
When material changes are made, the updated Privacy Policy will be posted on this page.
WebFones will update its privacy disclosures if there are material changes to how Google user data is accessed, used, stored, or shared.
